Enamelling is a very old technique used in jewellery to apply lasting colour. Today, Epoxy resins can be used to achieve the same effect in a fraction of the time. Easy and fast to do, see what possibilities lie ahead when using epoxy resin to enhance your designs.
In this advanced metal clay fabrication module you will learn:
This short course is a module of the JDMIS Advanced Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Metal Clay. For information about how this course fits into a complete jewellery education, visit our Continuing Education Roadmap
  • How to accent a plain silver creation with bright and shiny colours.
  • How to fill-in recessed areas with colour.
  • Techniques for working with epoxy resins without mess or wastage.
  • Use of epoxy resins to simulate inlaid gemstones.

* This program includes all materials needed. Students may make use of classroom equipment during class and practice sessions.

This advanced module has prerequisites - it is only open to graduates having completed the Foundation Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Metal Clay.
