My favourite part of the Jewellery Design course is the colouring aspect as I like colours and the shade make things different and give the right impression.

JDMIS delivers compelling educational content at SIJS 2009
JDMIS Participated in the Singapore International Jewellery Show 2009 as an educational partner. In addition to informative lectures to the press and public on topics ranging from jewellery trends, buying jewellery and gemmology, the JDMIS had a booth set up in the Singapore Pavilion allowing visitors to watch videos about gems and jewellery, examine gems under a microscope, see demonstrations of computer aided design tools in action and participate in a 'Famous Diamonds of the World' competition.
The event was both a successful recruiting drive for the school (with over 160 registrations and 400 expressions of interest) and a valuable addition to the show, many of whose 13,000 visitors took advandate of the fully-functional student media centres to learn more about jewellery, and participated in the Famous diamonds competition by researching diamond facts on an HP Touchsmart multimedia device.
