Professional 3D Weaving
Course Duration : 4 hours

Over 4 hours, extend flat-weaving techniques to build three-dimensional designs that can be used for jewellery, pendants, brooches and as durable accessories for hand bags, cell phones and more. Additional patterns and clasp attachment specific to rope weave techniques are covered.

A decorative and well loved 'Rope' style weave which produces a stunning effect. Like the Flat weave this style can be versitile and used in a variety of practical yet decorative ways for all kinds of accessories.
This short course is a module of the JDMIS Foundation Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Thread and Wire. For information about how this course fits into a complete jewellery education, visit our Continuing Education Roadmap
  • The differences between styles 3x3, 4x4 and thicker weaves;
  • Creative patterns and pattern arrangments to fit the length of the creation;
  • The 'endless' style finishing for accessories or household accents;
  • Creative variations when combining different shapes and sizes into the design.
